The invention relates to monitoring and measuring apparatuses. The tape driver forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising drive shafts 7 and, arranged on a frame 1, magnetic-tape 3 reels 2 and conducting rollers 5, and is characterised in that the frame has two symmetrical housings 6 in which the drive shafts 7 are installed, each shaft being provided with a device for its adjustment in a plane perpendicular to the axis 8 of the drive shaft 7. The tape driver in question can be used especially in apparatuses for the recording of information onto metal magnetic tape, which apparatuses are installed on board aircraft in the systems for recording their parameters in the event of an in-flight accident. <IMAGE>
