PURPOSE:To make it possible to convert one and the same explosive force into two half-rotational torques, by providing such an arrangement that the movements of two pistons which carry out half-rotation along the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder are transmitted to two plates which rotate in the opposite directions with each other, through transmission members, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Intake valves 8, 9 are provided at the top and bottom of a cylinder 1, and exhaust valves 10, 11 are provided at the left and right sides of the cylinder 1. Further, there are provided pistons 2, 3 which carry out half-rotation along the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder 1. Further, the pistons 2, 3 are connected with transmission members 4, 5 to which provided are rotary plates 6, 7 that are rotated, respectively, by being alternately subjected to half-rotational torque by the transmission members 4, 5. When the pistons 2, 3 rotates upward, the upper space of the inside of cylinder 1 is compressed, and the intake valve 9 alone opens so that the lower space of the cylinder 1 intiates a suction stroke. Further, when fuel in the upper space of the cylinder 1 is ignited and then burnt, the pistons 2, 3 rotates downward. Therefore, the movements of these pistons 2, 3 are taken out, as the torque of the rotary plates 6, 7, by means of the transmission members 4, 5. |
