PURPOSE:To shorten the time of low temperature starting greatly by providing a control means to start fuel supply after a set time passes from the beginning of cranking when starting an engine. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch 26 is turned to a position of IG contact, an electric current is sent to glow plug 20 via a glow plug control device 24. Then at a point when the temperature of the glow plug goes up considerably, if the key switch is turned to an ST contact position, a relay 28 gets added power and a starter 30 is driven to start reciprocation. At the same time, a control circuit 18 receives an output signal of a cooling water temperature sensor 32 to calculate a set value T0 of a time lag (from the time of cranking start of fuel injection start). When a time from the cranking start reaches the set value T0, an opening signal is sent to an electromagnetic opening and closing valve 16 to start fuel injection from a fuel injection nozzle 12 to a sub-chamber 10. |
