<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate the insertion of recording sheets even in such a condition that a cassette is set on a machine body, by enabling the rear wall of a cassette body which includes a member for regulating the trailing end of recording sheets, to open and close, and by providing a depressing means for depressing the front end of a recording paper bed plate. CONSTITUTION:If recording sheets are inserted into a cassette body 2 which is set in a paper feed section of an image forming device, the locking condition of an engaging member composed of a hook 8 and a pin 9 is released and then the rear wall 6 of the cassette is opened. A coupling arm 18 is slid rearward along an elongated hole 19 by means of a wire 20 in association with the opening operation of the rear wall 6. As a result, the front end of a depressing arm 15 is pulled down so that the front end of a recording sheet bed plate 14 is depressed overcoming the urging force of a compression spring 13. With this arrangement, the rear wall 6 may be opened in a condition such that a trailing end regulating member 5 is located below the bottom plate of the cassette body 2, thereby it is possible to insert recording sheets into the cassette body 2 from the rear end of the cassette body 2.</p> |
