The invention relates to a road vehicle designed as a lorry or lorry trailer or lorry semitrailer and is intended for the transportation of bulk material in a tipping body which is open at the top, is self-supporting and has a rear discharge flap and a front push plate which is driven preferably by a multiple cylinder-piston arrangement arranged outside the tipping body, sliding guides for securing the push plate against tilting being arranged on the push plate and on the tipping body. In the case of this road vehicle it is provided according to the invention that the tipping body has an inverted three-centre-arch cross-section with converging tipping-body longitudinal edges and the push plate is curved spherically outwards, and that the means for securing the plate against tilting is arranged on the upper edge of the tipping body and plate.
