Steering-wheel and ignition lock for motor vehicles

In a steering-wheel and ignition lock for motor vehicles, a rotary body is blocked in terms of rotation in a lock case by tumblers and is connected to an eccentric serving for the return of a blocking bolt which normally blocks the steering column of the vehicle. When the eccentric is inactive, the return position of the blocking bolt is secured by a lifting rod via inclined faces belonging to a key-withdrawal monitoring facility. For the purpose of increasing the break-open safety and a simple construction, it is proposed to use an electronic key which cooperates with the lock by radiation via tuned coded radiation transmitters and receivers and which, in the event of actuation, brings the tumbler out of the rotary body into the release position. To safeguard the key against withdrawal by rotation, the rotary body is equipped with a bolt and the lock case with a blocking groove aligned in the initial position of the rotary body. Furthermore, the rotary body is equipped with a rocker which, on the one hand, is an integral part of the key-withdrawal monitoring facility and, on the other hand, acts as a rotation stop in order, in the initial position, to prevent the possibility of a rotation of the rotary body.
