PURPOSE:A synthetic lubricant composition that is obtained by adding specific amounts of an alkylphenol and a nitrogen-containing compound, as essential components, to a specific alkylnaphthalene, thus showing excellent resistance to oxidation. CONSTITUTION:The objective synthetic lubricant composition is obtained by combining (A) 100pts.wt. of an alkylnaphthalene bearing one or two straight- chain alkyl groups of 12-36 carbon atoms as side chains with (B) 0.01- 3.0pts.wt. of an alkylphenol of formula I or II (R1 is 1-4C alkyl, 5-7C cycloalkyl; R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl; n is 1-4; X is mono-tetravalent group) and (C) 0.01-3.0pts.wt. of benzotriazole and/or a nitrogen-containing compound of formula III (R8, R9 are 4-18C alkyl; Y is formula IV), as essential components. |
