PURPOSE:To provide a heat-resistant instantaneous alpha-cyanoacrylate adhesive having improved heat-resistance, by using benzophenone-tetracarboxylic acid (anhydride) or pyromellitic acid (anhydride) as an agent for imparting heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective instantaneous adhesive can be prepared by adding preferably >=0.01wt%, (especially >=0.1wt%) of benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid (anhydride) and/or pyromellitic acid (anhydride) as an agent for imparting heat- resistance to an alpha-cyanoacrylate compound. If necessary, the adhesive may be incorporated with 0.0001-0.1wt% of a stabilizer suc as sulfur dioxide, etc. and several % of a thickener such as polymethyl methacrylate, etc.
