A heat transfer medium is introduced on one side in a heat transfer unit having an interior through which medium flows. A jacket member surrounding the interior is mounted in a sealing fashion on a separating plate. In addition, at least one sensor element projecting into the interior is arranged sealingly on the separating plate. The sensor element is either a temperature sensor, level sensor, flow sensor or pressure sensor. The sensor element is mounted sealingly in a sleeve which penetrates the separating plate and projects into the interior.
