The invention relates to a vibration isolator having a stabilising damper, in which an armoured elastomeric bearing and a damper are coupled in parallel. A vibration isolator is created by means of the invention, which consists of an annular-type, armoured, hollow-cylindrical elastomeric bearing, whose stability is ensured by a damper which is arranged in the central cavity of the bearing.
