Circuit for changing the image size of a television receiver

A horizontal deflection circuit (22) periodically conducts a horizontal forward trace voltage to a horizontal deflection winding (LH) for generating a horizontal deflection current in the latter. A modulator circuit (25) responds to adjustment signals for changing the horizontal forward trace voltage whilst simultaneously changing the amplitude of the horizontal forward trace current. A pin cushion correction adjustment signal is supplied to the modulator circuit (25) for changing the vertical frequency of the horizontal forward trace voltage in order to provide for amplitude changes in the horizontal deflection current in the sense of an east/west pin cushion correction. A horizontal size adjustment signal (at 29) is supplied to the modulator circuit (25) for changing the horizontal forward trace voltage in order to change the image size in the horizontal direction. A vertical deflection circuit 28 generates, in a vertical deflection winding (LV) a vertical deflection current, the amplitude of which changes with changes in a vertical size adjustment signal in order to change the image size in the vertical direction. <IMAGE>
