In an internal combustion engine for a motorcycle, a branching-pipe(8) is prepared downstreem of the throttle valve(20) in the intake passage(2), and is in contact with an intake box(7), which is preformed within an attachment part, such as a fuel tank(4) or a side cover(6), so as to maintain inertia flow and increase the total volume of the inlet manifold.
