PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality image at a high speed, by such simple constitution that a heat generating element and a magnetic field generating means are provided to the leading end of an ink nozzle part while ink is heated by heat from the heat generating element corresponding to an input signal to be flied toward a recording body. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic ink is one prepared by dispersing a ferromagnetic fine powder having a relatively low Curie temp. in a solvent in a colloidal state and shows ferromagnetic property at a room temp. Now, when heat is generated from the specific heat generating part of a heat generating element 5 corresponding to an image signal, the temp. of the magnetic ink in the vicinity of the heat generating part rises while residual magnetization becomes extremely small and, therefore, the pressure by a pump 2 becomes larger than the restricting force by a magnet 6 and the ink is injected from an orifice 4. In this case, if the signal current inputted to the heat generating body is controlled, the temp. rising quantity of the ink can be changed and gradation recording is enabled to a certain degree. |
