The security sticker for labelling, sealing or the like of magnetic tape cassettes, packagings, items of equipment, components and the like comprises a transparent base film (2), provided on one side with an adhesive coating (1). On its side facing the adhesive coating (1), the base film (2) has an intermediate layer (9), the adhesiveness between the base film (2) and the intermediate layer (9) being reduced in subareas (6). Furthermore, a top film (4), provided on one side with an adhesive layer (3), is provided, which is laminated with its adhesive layer (3) onto the base film (2), on the side of the latter facing away from its adhesive coating (1). The top film (4) is designed to be irreversibly extensible and/or easily breakable under tensile loading. In addition, the top film (4), projecting circumferentially beyond the base film (2), forms a security rim (7). <IMAGE>
