PURPOSE:To decrease the deterioration in picture signal read at low resolution by utilizing the correlation of a picture signal on a line before and after an interpolation line to record the signal while correcting the picture signal of the interpolation line. CONSTITUTION:The write/read of a picture signal on and to line memories 8-11 is executed by using signals Z1-Z4 between a write control circuit 4 and a read control circuit 5. The read control circuit 5 controls a picture signal output to a recording section especially and the write control circuit 4 controls the selection of a line memory writing a picture signal of the interpolation line, the selection of a line memory writing the preceding line of the interpolation line as a reference, the selection of a line memory writing the picture signal (net line to the interpolation line) of the present line and the write of the line memory. A selector 6 is used to select the preceding line. Further, shift registers 1, 2 and a matrix circuit (ROM) 3 are used to decide a picture signal correcting the picture signal of the interpolation line while utilizing the correlation of the picture and writing it on the line memory. |
