PURPOSE:To simulate a correct reproduced color on a color CRT by calculating overlap area rates of combinations of ink from data on the respective amounts of ink in picture memories and performing specific calculation. CONSTITUTION:Picture element values C, M, Y, and K in picture memories 11- 14 are read out in synchronization with a scan on the CRT4. Conversion tables 51-54 are addressed on the basis of the values C, M, Y, and K, and complementary numbers of 1 in addresses are registered in the memory contents. Multipliers 61-68 perform multiplication for finding overlap area rates alpha1-alpha5. Then, the mean reproduced color is obtained by conversion tables 71-79, 81-89, and 91-99 and adders 101-103. Then, conversion tables 21-23 are used to correct the nonlinearity of the CRT, and simulation pictures converted into R, G, and B by D/A converters 31-33 are displayed. Thus, the correct reproduced color is simulated on the color CRT. |
