PURPOSE:To irradiate a chlorella, etc., with light energy discontinuously and to use it as the light source for the chlorella, etc., effectively by providing rotatably a photoconductor rod which has a photodetection end surface where the light energy is entered and a slanting reflecting end surface where the energy is reflected. CONSTITUTION:The columnar photoconductor rod 2 has the photodetection end surface where the light energy is entered at the upper part and is provided with the slanting reflecting end surface 3 which reflects light at the tip part, and the rod 2 is rotated by a driving means 4. The light energy from a sunlight collecting device or artificial light source is converged by a lens and made incident to the rod 2, wherein it is rotated through a motor 4 and gears 6 and 7 to vary in irradiation direction momentarily. Therefore, the object is irradiated discontinuously and this is usable effectively as an optical composition reaction source for the chlorella, etc. |
