PURPOSE:To have quick and sure speed change by providing the intermittent gear on intermediate shaft with a certain number of cogs which is sufficient for the shift cam shaft to change the coupling of speed changing gear by one step, and by stopping rotation of the drive motive during idling to be conducted when meshing of said intermittent gear has finished. CONSTITUTION:No.2 gear 9 is an intermittent gear having cogs 10 partially, in such a number as sufficient to rotate the shift cam shaft 1 for a specific angle while the cogged portion 10 meshes with No.1 gear 6, that will be determined by effective diameter ratio of No.1 gear 6 to No.2 gear 9, wherein said specific angle should be set to an angle approx. equal to the angle required to change the speed changing gear by one step. Motor 13 shall work with its full torque in the portion in which quick gear shifting is required, and drive of the shift cam shaft 1 is disengaged using the intermittent gear. In neutral position, the positional control is made through inching application of current to the motor, and the shift cam shaft is stopped after rotation corresponding to half the amount of shifting.
