PURPOSE:To provide a composition having improved processability, heat resistance and impact resistance, by compounding an aromatic polyester with a specific thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition is prepared by compounding (A) 95-5wt% of an aromatic polyester composed of (i) a mixture of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid or their derivatives (the molar ratio of terephthalic acid group to isophthalic acid group is 9:1-1:9) and (ii) a bisphenol of formula (-X- is -O-, -S-, -SO2-, -CO-, alkylene or alkylidene; R1-R4 and R1'-R4' are H, hydrocarbon group or halogen) with (B) 5-95wt% of a thermoplastic resin composed of (iii) at least one substance selected from an alkyl acrylate and alkyl methacrylate as an essential component and (iv) other monomer copolymerizable with the component (iii) (e.g. aromatic vinyl monomer, vinyl cyanide monomer, etc.) and/or a conjugated diene rubbery polymer (e.g. polybutadiene).
