The hydraulic clamping device for clamping pile-driving bodies, especially sheet piles, consists of tongs which have an insertion slot and in the legs of which the clamping elements are mounted which grip the pile-driving body from both sides, the clamping elements being actuated by a hydraulic pressing device consisting of piston and cylinder, the piston rod (6, 6a) of the piston (8, 8a) of the hydraulic pressing device (7, 7a) being fitted in a fixed position in one leg (3, 3a) of the tongs (2, 2a) and the cylinder (9, 9a) of the hydraulic pressing device (7, 7a) being displaceably mounted in the other leg (4, 4a) of the tongs. <IMAGE>
