METHOD AND MACHINE FOR AUTOMATIC FITTING OF CABLE TERMINAL

PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of even a long-sized cable and to automate a ferrule fitting processing fully and efficiently by falling down a cable coil with compressed air when the coil is moved to a conveyng jig for the cable coil. CONSTITUTION:The conveying jig 21 for conveying the cable coil to respective stations is provided with chucks 24 and 24 on both sides of a substrate 23. Each chuck consists of a couple pawl pieces 25 and 25' and is opened and closed in meshing with gears 28 and 28'. A blowoff nozzle 41 for compressed air is provided over the 1st station. When the coil is lowered on the conveying jig 21 at the 1st station, the coil is fallen down outward on a table 37 by the air pressure of the nozzle 41. Consequently, the handling of even a long-sized cable is facilitated and the ferrule fitting processing is made efficient and automated fully.
