Fully automatic, dust-free coal heating-boiler installations are equipped with a coal bunker which is adapted in its shape and capacity without great expenditure to the respective conditions, in particular to basement areas. The coal bunker comprises individual constructional elements or plates which are preshaped in a modular fashion and are of a flanged design at the sides. These flanges have punched slots, so that such coal bunkers can be assembled without any welding work even in the most difficult positions in a simple way and without great expenditure. The flanges serve as reinforcing ribs and also make it possible to attach continuous flat bars to reinforce large coal bunkers. <IMAGE>
