A cassette storage containerfor covering a tape cassette, said container having a case body (1) formed by a plastic resin sheet (A) of transparent or semi transparent material which comprises a multiplicity of projections in the form of ribs (41) or verrucae (43) formed on the inner face of the case body for providing rough surfaces and opaque layer means (27) formed on the outer surface of the case body, the area of said opaque layer means being at most covering all over surface area of the outer surface of the container except for at least the portion corresponding to a label of the tape cassette put in its stored position in said container so as to define a display window (26) for displaying the label of the tape cassette.
