PURPOSE:To obtain an image having high developing and hiding power by incorporating surface sensitive silver halide and internally sensitive silver halide or internally fogged silver halide emulsion into a tilted material and incorporating the compd. expressed by the prescribed formula therein. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by the formula I (X is an atomic group which forms an oxidation reduction base nucleus having a substituent by binding with CA and CB and permits the desorption of the formula II when oxidized during a photographic development process, EWG is an electron attractive group exceeding 0.3 sigma para value of Hammett, CA, CB denote a carbon atom, R1, R2 denote a hydrogen atom or substituent. Time denotes a sulfur atom, nitrogen atom, oxygen atom or selenium atom and a timing group to be combined with CB, t is 0 or 1 and SLV is combined with CB via a sulfur atom, nitrogen atom, oxygen atom or selenium atom when t=0 SLV denotes solvent of silver halide) is incorporated into this material. The image which has the less dependency on the process temp. and has the high developing and hiding power is thus obtd. with the high sensitivity and high contrast. |
