PURPOSE:To obtain laser light having symmetrical intensity distribution by providing a folding light resonator in which an optical system for inverting the resonant light to the folding flow substantially along the flow of gas laser medium. CONSTITUTION:A light resonator has an output mirror 1 and full-reflecting mirrors 2-6, and the mirrors 1, 6 are disposed at one side of a discharger 8 in which gas laser medium 7 flows. The mirrors 2-5 are disposed at reflecting angle for folding in a zigzag shape of the direction substantially along the flow of the medium 7 at the other side of the discharger 8. The intensity distribution of the section perpendicular to an optical axis reduces in gain at the downstream B side of the medium 7, but a gain optical path 11 is inverted in one gain optical path 10. Thus, the unbalance of the gain is canceled to produce laser light L having symmetrical sectional intensity distribution from the mirror 1. |
