PURPOSE:To transmit two kinds of synchronizing signal without increasing the transmission rate and to simplify the constitution of a synchronizing system at receiving side by A/D-converting a horizontal synchronizing signal component and transmitting the result similarly as a video signal, and transmitting a vertical synchronizing signal component as a code by a converter. CONSTITUTION:An output of a waveform converter 12 is applied to a control signal input of a code converter 11. The waveform converter 12 provides a notch in a vertical driving pulse period of the output by a horizontal drive pulse. That is, the notch is formed by inverting the horizontal and vertical drive pulses a, b and NANDing them. The code converter 11 transmits an input signal of the A/D converter 2 to the output side when the output pulse of the converter 12 is logical ''1'', fixed an output code to a prescribed code when logical ''0'' and sets the code to the maximum value the same as that of the code outputted by the converter 2 to a level being over the white level of the video signal. The video and drive pulses a, b converted in series at the converter 3 are transmitted to a transmission side output terminal T31. The code converter 14 transmits the input signal to the output side while the code detector does not respond to the input signal at the receiving side, but fixes the signal to a prescribed code at the inverse period. |
