PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material excellent in heat sensitivity, suitable for high-speed recording and high in long-time stability of developed color images, wherein a 2-hydroxy-6-naphtoic acid ester and a bis(hydroxy- alkylphenyl)alkane are used in combination as a color developer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material utilizing a color developing reaction between a leuco dye, e.g., 3-(N-methyl-N-cyclohexylamino)-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran and a color developer, a combination of a 2-hydroxy-6-naphthoic acid ester, e.g., ethyl 2-hydroxy-6-naphthoate and a bis(hydroxy-alkylphenyl)alkane, e.g., bis(2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-t-butylphenyl)methane is combinedly used as the color developer. |
