PURPOSE:To perform the editing work with just a single information recording/reproducing device and to prevent the quality deterioration of the record information by recording previously the operation mode designating signals in response to plural information signals and switching the operation mode of the recording/reproducing device based on the designating signal in a reproduction mode in order to exclude an undesired recorded part. CONSTITUTION:A switch 19 is changed over to a terminal 19a to set a reprodcution mode. A switch 21 is closed at the head of the part of a tape where no reproduction is desired, and a fast forward designating signal is produced from a designating signal generator 23 and recorded on a track 17. The switch 21 is opened when the reproduction is over. When the latter half of the tape 1 is undesired, a stop designating switch 22 is closed at the end of the first half of the tape to record the stop designating signal. In the case of reproduction, the switch 19 is switched to a terminal 19b. Thus the quick traversing designating signal is read out and discriminated by a discriminating circuit 32. Then the fast forward is indicated to an operation mode switching mechanism 34 from a switch command circuit 33. While the hitherto picture signals are held at a picture memory circuit 42 by the discriminating signal and at the same time supplied to a display device 44. As a result, a picture obtained right before a fast forward mode is set is projected to the device 44 in the form of a still picture. |
