ROTARY HEAD TYPE MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate substantially the S/N deterioration owing to the transmission loss of a rotary transformer and to realize a high S/N by providing a DC voltage generator to obtain the DC voltage from the signal supplied to a rotary head for flying erasion and using the output DC voltage to actuate a signal processing circuit and a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:The signal of a video signal erasing/oscillating device 45 is amplified by an amplifier 44 and applied to a rotary head 25 for flying erasion via a channel 43 of a rotary transformer. This signal of the device 45 is also supplied to a DC voltage generator 37 and converted into the DC voltage to be used for the power supply within a rotary cylinder. The control signal is applied to a control signal generator 38 via the channel 42 of a rotary transformer 39 to control the signal processing circuit in the rotary cylinder to a recording or reproducig mode or control the selection of the reproduction head. The reproduction outputs of rotary heads 23 and 24 are amplified by reproduction amplifiers 33 and 34 respectively and then selected alternately by a head output switch 35. These selected outputs are extracted to a circuit of the fixed side via a channel 41 of the transformer 39 in the form of the reproduction output signals.
