PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous operation in attaching tools to the machining center by a method wherein the numbers of tool holders, accommodated in respective tool holder attaching holes of a magazine, are read under turning at least one turn in order to compare them with the outputs of a memory. CONSTITUTION:The bar code 16 of the tool holder 15 is detected by a reader 13 and is outputted after converting it into the number of the tool holder by a decoder 17. This output signal is compared with the output signal of the memory 18 in a coincidence circuit 20. When they coincide, the output of an AND gate 23 is supplied to a control circuit 32 to rotate a motor 35 by a given amount and pivot the tool holder magazine 11 by one step. When they don't coincide, the output of the AND gate 25 sets a flip flop circuit 26 to drive a buzzer 28 and operate an error indicating unit 29. |
