PURPOSE:To reduce the impact caused by the collision between a pair of magnetic heads opposite to each other and to avoid the damage of a magnetic disk without deteriorating the disk performance, by fixing a core assembly body of a magnetic head set fixedly to a case via an elastic plate. CONSTITUTION:A round elastic plate 19 is made of a thin plate of the copper alloy such as Be-Cu, etc., stainless steel, etc. This plate 19 attached with a magnetic core is fixed to the inside of a case 21a of a magnetic head 3 with an epoxy resin adhesive 24 with a projection 21b formed toward the lower side fitted to an opening part. The masks blocks 13 and 14 are set opposite to each other at the upper side of the case 21a. The end parts 15a and 15b of a coil 15 are soldered to a terminal 22 set at the side of the case 21a; while end parts 19a<1> and 19b<1> of a coil 19<1> are soldered to a terminal 23 respectively. In such a way, the core, etc. are supported by the plate 19 and therefore the plate 19 absorbs the impact caused by the collision of a pair of magnetic heads holding a magnetic disk between in a record/reproduction mode. |
