PURPOSE:To offer a cylindrical scanning drum having a simple paper retaining mechanism capable of simple and easy operation of paper loading by providing the paper retaining mechanism comprising a magnet and a paper retainer in a goove formed on a part of a drum to adjust minutely the position. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, 1 is a cylindrical drum having the groove 12 prolonged axially is formed on the surface. The paper retainer mechanism is inserted in the groove 12 to be adjusted minutely in it in the direction of the arrow A. The paper retainer mechanism consists of a magnet 5 implanted in the paper retainer main body 4 and a paper retaining plate 6 fixed to the paper retainer main body 4 by a hinge 7, and the paper 2 is fixed by the paper retainer plate 6 and the magnetic force of the magnet 5. A retaining screw 8 and a compressing spring 9 are fitted respectively to a screw holder 10 and a spring holder 11 fixed to the drum 1, and the paper retaining main body 4 is moved in the groove 12 by turning the retaining screw 8. To load the paper, the paper retainer plate 6 is opened as shown in 6' and after the paper 2 is inserted, the paper retainer plate 6 is closed. In this case, if the paper 2 is loaded and fixed with a tilt, the adjusting screw 8 is adjusted. |
