PURPOSE:To minimize the fluctuation in a transient bias voltage because of turning on/off of a power supply control terminal by providing a voltage control terminal and turning on or off each transitor(TR) forming a current path between positive and negative power supplies at the stand-by state so as to eliminate an ineffective current. CONSTITUTION:When a positive power supply is impressed to the power supply control terminal 6, TRs MP8, MP9 are turned off. Further, a TRMP7 is turned on and the TRs MN8, MN9 are turned off by an output of an inverter 7. When a negative power supply is impressed to the power supply control terminal 6, the TRMP8 is turned on and TRs MP4, 5 are turned off. Then, all current paths between the positive and negative power supplies applied to terminals 1, 2 are interrupted. Thus, the performance and operation of the conventional operational amplifier are kept as they are at the operation and the current consumption of the operational amplifier is only the leakage current at the stand-by state.
