PURPOSE:To improve the operatability and safety of a captioned car body at manufacturing and assembling it while reducing the work at a high position by mounting an open/close type roof on both sides of a central support member and fixing said support member between front and rear frames erected on a floor, after lifting thus assembled body. CONSTITUTION:Upon manufacturing the captioned car body, a frame for right and left open/close type roofs is manufactured at first, and outer plates 8 are stuck to said frame to form the right and left open/close type roofs 5A, 5B. then, a central support member 4 is supported by making use of a support base 11 with a height approximately corresponding to the size H1 of the roof in its height direction, and the open/ close type roofs 5A, 5B are mounted on both sides of said support member via hinges 12 to be opened and closed freely. Subsequently, said roof assembled body is lifted by means of a crane by leading a wire to pass through a gap between said central support member 4 and the roof 5A, 5B. Thereafter, the lifted roof assembled body is fitted in between front and rear frames 2, 3 erected on a floor 1, and the central support member 14 is fixed on a central portion 15 of the upper sides of the front and rear frames 2, 3 with bolts 16 and nuts 17. |
