PURPOSE:To confirm easily whether a current flows to a covered electric wire or not without stripping off a covered layer by detecting an electric conduction through the first and the second cutters placed in the shape of truncated-chevron form. CONSTITUTION:The first and the second cutters 10, 11 are connected to a lamp 12 and insulated and placed on the first rotating member 7 so that edges 13, 14 become the shape of truncated-chevron form. When a covered electric wire 25 is placed on the second rotating member 8 and the members 7, 8 are rotated, the respective edges 13, 14 contact by pressing with an electric wire in the coating of the electric wire 25, and an electric conducting state is detected through the lamp 12. According to this constitution, whether a current flows to the covered electric wire or not can be confirmed easily without stripping off the covered layer.
