摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a ferromagnetic composite sintered material having superior vibration damping capacity and lubricity by impregnating Pb or a Pb alloy having vibration damping capacity and lubricity into the pores in a ferromagnetic porous sintered body with a specified porosity made of Fe or an Fe alloy. CONSTITUTION:A porous sintered body with 15-50% porosity made of pure Fe or an Fe alloy such as Fe-P, Fe-Si or Fe-Si-Al is manufactured. The sintered body is immersed in molten Pb or a molten Pb alloy to impregnate Pb or the Pb alloy having vibration damping capacity and lubricity into the pores in the sintered body. When the porosity of the sintered body is <15%, Pb or the Pb alloy is not impregnated by an enough amount to provide prescribed vibration damping capacity and lubricity, and in case of >50% porosity, the ferromagnetism is remarkably reduced, so the porosity is restricted to 15-50%.
