DRIVING METHOD OF PLANAR PICTURE IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate blurring of focus due to deflection of elctron beam and to improve picture quality by varying the central voltage of deflection signals to be applied on vertical and horizontal deflection means in accordance to deflection. CONSTITUTION:(h) and (h') signals will increase/decrease respectively in three steps during effective horizontal scanning interval of single horizontal interval under the central voltage V7. V7f is a voltage signal variable in 16 steps of 1H at a time where voltage at each step is indivisually regulated. (hf) and (hf') are a pair of voltage signals where V7f is added to (hf) and (hf') having central voltage of V7+V7f. When regulating voltage of V7f at each step indivisually, the central voltages of (hf) and (hf') can be regulated for each step. When employing such (hf) and (hf') as horizontal deflection signals, dynamic focusing can be achieved for blurring of focus in horizontal direction due to vertical deflection.
