PURPOSE:To prevent even long-sized copying paper from zigzagging by providing a pressure roll so that its axial line crosses the axial lines of a couple of fixing rolls which are parallel to each other and have different diameters only at a fine angle, pressing the pressure roll by a pressure applying means, and adding a pressure releasing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The fixing rolls 1a and 1b are installed in parallel to each other, so when copying paper 6 is passed between the fixing rolls 1a and 1b, the paper insertion direction is coincident with the paper ejection direction to prevent the zigzagging of the running paper to some extent. When the long-sized copying paper is used, an eccentric cam 16 is rotated by 180 deg. by rotating a support shaft 15 by 180 deg. and then levers 11b and 11'b are pressed up. Consequently, one-side terminals 11a and 11'a of the levers 11 and 11' are moved down and no pressure operate between the fixing rolls 1a and 1b, and fixing roll 1b and pressure roll 2. Therefore, the track of the copying paper 5 running between the fixing rolls 1a and 1b is corrected. |
