<p>This invention provides an emulsifier composition suitable for the preparation of emulsifiable concentrate formulations having biological activity. The emulifier composition of the invention overcomes difficulties encountered with prior art formulations in that the emulsifiable concentrates of this invention are physically compatible with both water and liquid fertilizers, and the emulsifier system provides emulsification, stabilization and anticorrosion properties to the emulsifiable concentrate. The emulsifier composition of this invention comprises (1) one or more primary and/or secondary phosphate esters of ethoxylated mono-, di- and trialkyl phenols or ethoxylated C8-20 aliphatic alcohols and (2) an ethoxylated tertiary amine of the formula wherein m and n are independently integers from 0 - 15, inclusive, the sum of m and n having an average within the range of 3-15 and wherein Rl is a C8-18 aliphatic hydrocarbon radical; the weight ratio of components (1) to (2) boing within the range of about 1:1 to about 10:1.</p> |
