PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the wiring inductance and to realize a compact structure by a method wherein a capacitor and resistors, which have been connected in between the gate and the cathode of a GTO element, are fixed to a connector on the cathode side of the GTO element. CONSTITUTION:A diode 3, a connector 11, a cooling fin 12, a GTO element 1, a cooling fin 12, a connector 13, an insulator 14 and spacers 15 and 16 have been arranged in a sandwiched state and each of these parts have been pressingly adhered mutually by pressing the central part of the spacer 16 by a bracket 18 through a ball 17 which is a good conductor of heat and electricity. A semiconductor stack has been accomodated in an enclosed contaner 23 and the interior of the container 23 has been filled with ebullition type coolant 24. On the other hand, resistors 8 and 9 between the gate and the cathode of the GTO element 1 and a capacitor 10 have been buried for accomodation in a molded resin 30 being contained in a metal case 29, and th resistors 8 and 9 and the capacitor 10 have been attached to a connector 25 on the cathode side of the GTO element 1. |
