PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in an engine output due to a temporary fall in supercharging effect in time of selecting the operation of a turbosupercharger, by making the turbosupercharger so as to be rotated in advance from outside the supercharging operation range. CONSTITUTION:When reaching to a fixed suction air quantity, a first on-off valve 18 is opened, interconnecting a scroll 11a of a high-speed turbosupercharger 12 and an auxiliary passage 2 at the upstream side of an exhaust selector valve 3 together via a first exhaust pipe 13. A turbine Ts is fed with partial exhaust gas and thereby the high-speed turbosupercharger 12 is rotated. Likewise, when reaching to a specified suction air quantity, selector valves 3 and 8 are set in motion so that the high-speed supercharger 12 starts its operation in place of a low-speed turbosupercharger 11. |
