PURPOSE:To register commond input sequence or the like automatically in a storage means in the same order and to improve preciseness by operating catalogue processing actually on a display screen and executing the processing in a computer in a catalogue processing system. CONSTITUTION:When a catalogue registration key is depressed to register a catalogue, a catalogue file area is secured in a storage means of the computer and a file is opened. If a job to be registered is assigned in the order of retrieval processing classification processing calculation processing, a function key corresponding to the display of retrieval in a command menu column on a screen is depressed at first to start retrieval processing registration to the catalogue file. When a retrieval condition is inputted, the retrieval processing is executed in the computer in accordance with the specified condition and the processing order is registered in the storage means. Thereafter, classification and calculation are also executed in the same manner to complete the catalogue registration.
