摘要 A timing mechanism for trigging a trajectory safety device in a piece of ammunition, when the latter is situated at a minimum distance from the muzzle of the barrel. The timing mechanism comprises a drive means 6 which is eccentrically suspended relative to the rotational centre 5 of the piece of ammunition, and a balance 9 which is arranged to interact with a gear wheel 8, drivable from said drive means. At least two weights 12, 13 are arranged in the balance 9, and/or at least one weight 14 is arranged in the drive means 6, whereby the weights are displaceable relative to the remaining parts of the balance, or dischargeable from the drive means, respectively, at a predetermined magnitude of the centrifugal force F1, F2, F3 acting on the respective weight(s) due to the rotation of the piece of ammunition. At the displacement of the weights, the moment of inertia of the balance is increased or the mass of the drive means reduced, respectively, such that the timing mechanism will operate with a longer time of releasing at a higher, first rotative speed than at a lower, second rotative speed of the piece of ammunition. Thereby, said minimum distance is ensured irrespective of the piece of ammunition being fired with the first or the second rotative speed. <IMAGE>
