PURPOSE:To enable such an exact transmission of a number of rotations that the output number rotations is equal to the input number of rotations, by engaging a pair of rotary wheels with each other without a gap, to rotate them. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral part of a second rotary wheel 9 shaped as a disc is made of a cylindrical smooth elastic material. When the peripheral part of the second rotary wheel 9 is brought into pressure contact with the teeth 21 of the peripheral part of a first rotary wheel 2, the elastic peripheral part of the second wheel is elastically deformed along the surfaces of the teeth 21 so that teeth 91 engaged, without a gap, with the teeth 21 are formed. When the first rotary wheel 2 is turned in a prescribed direction, the teeth 21, 91 are sequentially engaged with each other to rotate the second wheel 9. Other teeth are likewise formed as the wheels 2, 9 continue to rotate. When they have rotated a prescribed number of times, they are stopped. Since the teeth 21, 91 of the first and the second wheels 2, 9 are engagd with each other without a gap, they are simultaneously rotated by the same quantity back or/and forth so that the output number of rotations is equal to the input number of rotations. The number of rotations is thus exactly transmitted.
