PURPOSE:To provide a scratch coating compsn, which has a good hiding effect and excellent coating workability and heat resistance and can be completley peeled off during the washing of a bottle, containing liquid paraffin or carnauba wax and at least one member selected from among emulsifiers, pastes, film- forming agents and solvents. CONSTITUTION:A coating compsn. is obtd. by blending liquid paraffin and/or carnauba wax (A) with at least one member (B) selected from among emulsifiers, postes, film-forming agents and solvents. Examples of the emulsifiers are sorbitan fatty acid ester, higher alcohol fatty acid ester, sucrose fatty acid ester and soybean phospholipid. Examples of the pastes are polysodium acrylate, propylene glycol alginate and cellulose calcium glycolate. Examples of the film- forming agents are morpholine fatty acid salt, oxyethylene higher aliphatic alcohol and vinyl acetate resin. Preferred solvents include glycerol and ethanol which are accepted as food additive.
