PURPOSE:To select the combination of various treating methods with high accuracy in a short time, by utilizing the relationship between the correlative ratio of an integrated value every peak of chromatography and a holding time for judging the treated properties of components contained in water. CONSTITUTION:Components contained in water are separated by a high-speed liquid chromatographic column 1 and detected by a detector 2, and the resulting output signal is sent through an interface unit 3, integrated every peak by an intermediate data processor 4 and then inputted to a central processing unit 6. At the central processing unit 6, the quality of water to be treated is estimatedly calculated in response to information inputted from a controlling disc 5 and a preinputted program, and then a treating process is judged on the basis of past data from a memory 8. The result of said judgement is indicated by a display means 9 and recorded by an X-Y block 7 and a printer 10.
