PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance coating efficiency and to uniformize a film thickness by floating harged atomized oil particles around a wire material uniformly at high density, by opposedly arranging an ionizer an a convection hood so as to hold the wire material therebetween. CONSTITUTION:When a welding wire 2 is transferred at a desired speed, detection voltage corresponding to this transfer speed is generated from a taco-generator 40 and supplied to a motor 41 and the high voltage generator 42 for an ionizer 20 and, therefore, an air sending amount and the voltage to be applied to an electrode 28 are controlled corresponding to the wire transfer speed. As a result, fine particles among oil particles atomized by an atomizer nozzle 12 are introduced into the ionizer 20 and uniformly charged by the electrode 28. A part thereof is collected by an atomized oil agent guide wall 27 but the remainder is injected in a concentrated state to the wire 2 from the jet orifice 29 of the guide wall 27 and uniformly deposited on the wire 2 in good efficiency in cooperation with the action of a drive electrode 35.
