SPOUTED BED COAL GASIFICATION OVEN

PURPOSE:To draw out molten slag of coal ash smoothly by degassing the inside of a molten slag sump when the molten slag has been deposited above a slag discharge opening and has caused its plugging. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal 10 is blown into a spouted bed coal gasification oven 8 by a burner 9 and produced gas 1 is discharged from above the gasification oven 8, while the pressure of the oven 8 is adjusted by means of a control valve 2. Slag 5 melted under high temperature in the gasification oven 8 comes down along the oven wall and is accumulated above a slag discharge opening 11. The pressure of a slag sump 12 is adjusted by discharging gas 3 in the sump 12 by means of a valve 4 and is kept lower than that in the gasification oven 8. The molten slag 5 is forced out into the slag sump 12 by difference in pressure between the sump 12 and the oven 8. Thus the slag 5 accumulated above the slag discharge opening 11 is discharged smoothly form the oven 8.
