PURPOSE:To prevent tearing off phenomenon and heighten rigidity of a plate by eliminating the presence of a flange having facing direction that coincides with the direction of bending load at a place to be bent at the time of bending work. CONSTITUTION:Flanges 2, 2 are formed on both sides of a plate 1. On one side (a), the plate 1 is bent to become gently convex to the same direction with the direction of formation of the flange 2. Parts 3 corresponding to the flange are bulged out from the lower end of the flanges 2 to both outsides corresponding to decrement of the flange 2 caused by bending of the plate 1. Then, bending load is applied to the direction of arrow x and the plate 1 and the parts 3 corresponding to the flanges are bent making a line (l) as a bending line. Thus, a plate B on both sides of the position (a) is bent to intersect at right angles. The plate 1 is bent to a curved plate, and the flange 2 is worked to a bent flange. |
