PURPOSE:To reduce the traffic load on a calling trunk by re-calling a pocket bell when there is no answer from a called subscriber after a calling subscriber calls the pocket bell and put a handset on the hook. CONSTITUTION:The subscriber STA-A calls the pocket bell, puts the handset on the hook, and waits for an answer. If there is no answer from the subscriber STA-B even a specific time later while the time-limiting circuit of an exchange monitors the time, a sender SND and a calling trunk PGT are connected together automatically and the slave equipment number of the called pocket bell is read out of a pocket-bell number storage device M and sent from the SND to a calling device PGEQPT. Namely, the PGEQPT realizes the re-calling of the pocket bell. Thus, the traffic load on the calling trunk PGT is reduced and the need for an answering trunk on the exchange side and a connecting device on the PGEQPT side is eliminated. |
